Dave oversees all of the work of Traggorth Companies with special emphasis on acquisition opportunities, permitting, and construction. Since Traggorth Companies began, he has directly overseen a wide variety of complex mixed income, mixed use development projects in the Boston metro area.
Dave moved to Boston in 2008 as Mitchell Properties’ project manager for its Chelsea and Williamstown projects. As Director of Development, he oversaw the development activities and managed the advisory work of the firm. In 2012, he started the Traggorth Companies LLC in order to continue developing high quality mixed income and mixed use projects in urban environments.
He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and Citizens Housing and Planning Association (CHAPA) and has served on expert panels in Haverhill, MA and Pittsfield, MA. He has written articles on specific experiences in real estate development.
He is a graduate of Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, and earned his Master’s in Urban Planning and Community Development at the University of Maryland School of Architecture. He is a proud resident of JP.

Dan manages the financial structuring, analysis, and sourcing of development projects for Traggorth Companies. In the two years leading in this capacity at TC, he has closed on more than $400M in complex financing for multi-family real estate projects. This includes conventional construction debt, historic tax credit equity, low income housing tax credit equity, mezzanine financing, and private equity.
Prior to Traggorth Companies, Dan worked alongside Dave at Mitchell Properties as project and asset manager. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Colgate University and attended the Tuck School of Business Bridge Program.
He is active in the Urban Land Institute and participates in the UrbanPlan program which provides high school students real world experience in land use and real estate development issues and challenges.

Tanya started working with Traggorth Companies two years ago and immediately took on project management from financing through construction for a the Roxbury Tenants of Harvard Community Center, a new market tax credit transaction creating a 28,000 square foot gym, fitness facility, classroom space, and youth lounge in Boston’s Mission Hill neighborhood. In addition, she managed the Off Centre Lofts project in Jamaica Plain from financing through lease-up. This involved the historic rehabilitation of the former Norbert School in Jamaica Plain into 21 loft apartments. The project was fully occupied and leased 3 months after construction.
Prior to joining Traggorth Companies, she spent 7 years working for a consortium of 8 cities and towns North of Boston to underwrite, finance, and manage their HOME-funded housing portfolio. She also worked on a range of housing development including landmark preservation projects, direct development of artist live/work spaces, and supportive service housing.
She specializes in drafting local and regional plans, project analysis, working with grant programs specific to housing and community development, and asset management. Tanya has served on both Regional and National boards for the National Community Development Association (NCDA). She was the City of Malden’s representative to the Tri-City Continuum of Care, and the Metro Boston Network, working to address homelessness in the Boston Area.
Originally from the DC area, she is a graduate of Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania, with a dual degree in Math and Economics. She earned her Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Policy from Northeastern University, and is an active member of several community and civic associations in East Boston where she now lives.

Dave joined The Traggorth Companies in November of 2016. He oversees asset management at a variety of properties in Massachusetts including: Cable Mills in Williamstown, JM Lofts in Haverhill, and Atlas Lofts, in Chelsea.
Prior to joining The Traggorth Companies, Dave worked as a commercial real estate salesman in Springfield, MA where he specialized in marketing and project management. There, he worked on projects for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as well as redeveloping a commercial property in Springfield, MA for the expansion of the community service organization Roca.
Dave is a graduate of Boston College and holds a Master’s of Architecture and a Master’s of Urban Planning from the University of Miami (FL). He also earned a Master’s of Real Estate from Georgetown University. Dave is a member of the Urban Land Institute, Locus – Smart Growth America, and the Congress for the New Urbanism.

Carol H. Burt is a financial and accounting consultant for real estate developers with a focus on affordable housing development and is a Certified Public Accountant. For Traggorth Companies, Carol has prepared financial analyses, investment rate of return analyses and financing applications, along with providing assistance with accounting issues and related systems. Formerly, Carol was Manager of Equity Finance at The Community Builders, Inc. where she was responsible for structuring equity and debt financing for low and mixed income housing developments for community based non-profit housing developers in six states. While at the Community Builders, she negotiated and closed direct private placements with institutional investors totaling over $70 million in equity and assisted in raising $30 million of institutional investor equity for a community revitalization fund formed to invest in affordable housing developments. Carol has also worked as an Acquisition Analyst at Liberty Real Estate Corporation and a Senior Accountant at Arthur Andersen & Co.

Dan O’Shea began working at Traggorth Companies in late 2015 and oversees the accounting and operations functions of the company. Dan has a special focus on streamlining procedures to increase efficiency of TC's operations and projects.
Prior to joining the Traggorth Companies team, Dan ran a consulting business for small to mid-sized companies in the New England area who needed assistance with accounting, financing, reporting & analysis, or operational restructuring. Working with a variety of companies and addressing a range of accounting and procedural oversights has given him a diverse knowledge base to draw upon.
Dan O’Shea graduated from Southern NH University with a degree in Accounting and Finance. In addition, he has completed course work at the University of NH in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, granting him a unique view of problems and allowing for a variety of avenues to potential solutions.
